When Aging Gets Real: The Personal Story Behind IncluzIT HOME
I have seen how powerful it is to start planning to age in place before a crisis hits. I have also seen how difficult aging navigation can be with serious health issues, financial concerns, housing questions, scattered information and overwhelming choices. IncluzIT HOME grew from those experiences.

Aging is no longer just about living longer, it is about living better in the places we call home. After more than 25 years as an occupational therapist in Winnipeg, serving clients across Manitoba, I have seen how powerful it is to start planning to age in place before a crisis hits. I have also seen how difficult navigation can be with when serious health issues hit, and big decisions need to be made quickly about home, health and finances, with fragmented information and families becoming overwhelmed. IncluzIT HOME grew from those experiences.
My professional concerns became deeply personal recently. My husband and I, with two busy kids, suddenly had three sets of parents aged 75–92 with various health issues needing more support. Despite my healthcare background, I was searching for reliable answers to questions I had about service navigation, palliative care, equipment funding, and who to contact and when. We are living the classic sandwich‑generation struggle, and even with my expertise, it was overwhelming.
In this stressful season, I realized if I felt frustrated, families without healthcare knowledge must feel completely lost. I did not want another brochure or static checklist. I wanted a tool to deliver trustworthy information, build readiness and connect families with services and providers when they need them most. I envisioned a platform that helps to prioritize actions and drive steps forward, all toward aging in the right place. That vision became IncluzIT HOME.
IncluzIT HOME is an aging in the right place readiness planning and service navigation platform in support of Actionable Aging™. It focuses on the next right action across our six Actionable Aging™ priorities. The platform helps families spot risks, uncover resources and shift from “we should plan” to “we are prepared”.
Ultimately, I created IncluzIT HOME because aging in the right place should not rely on luck, insider knowledge or crisis mode. With smart aging navigation and early planning to age in place, more people can live where they want, with safety, dignity and connection.
